How to Order
The Tennessee Watchable Wildlife plate is available to Tennessee residents who are registering a private passenger motor vehicle. The annual fee is $56.50 and $30.75 of the additional $35 collected is allocated to the Watchable Wildlife Endowment Fund to be used exclusively for the preservation of non-game and endangered wildlife species. The plate can be personalized with 5 characters available for a total fee of $91.50. Making this specialty plate personalized increases the fees for that plate by an additional $70. When placing an initial order for a personalized specialty plate, you must complete the Application for Tennessee Personalized License Plate and send it to the Taxpayer and Vehicle Services Division with the $70 fee indicated on the application. Renewing a personalized plate should always be completed at your county clerk's office, at which time the entire amount of the registration plus specialty/personalized fees can be paid. Call your county clerk to verify availability of the Tennessee Watchable Wildlife plate before traveling to the clerk's office. Special note: County clerks charge an additional $1.00 fee for the issuance of a specialty plate. This makes the fee $36 for specialty plates and $71 for personalized specialty plates, plus the standard state registration fee and any wheel taxes imposed by local governments.
